Spencer’s Wish:

At age 17, Spencer was diagnosed with having a Germ Cell tumor. Enduring the numerous doctor visits, days in the hospital, going through treatments and chemotherapy was not something this young man had ever dreamed he would be doing at a time in his life when he should be having fun and kicking back with his family and friends. Through The Children’s Wish Foundation, Spencer was eligible to have a wish granted. After much thought and deliberation, Spencer decided his wish was to receive an entertainment system. Working with the family, our Wish Granting Team immediately set to work to make his dream become a reality.

After receiving his wish, his family sent this note to us:

“Spencer rec’d all of his packages. He’s very happy with it and has had many friends over to see it. “Awesome” is the word I hear most from his friends. It’s set up but a little more work is needed to route wire/cables. That will be done next week as Spencer is scheduled for chemo this week.



On behalf of our family, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The work that you have done on behalf of the Children’s Wish Foundation has made a true and meaningful difference for Spencer, my wife and I in a very difficult time. Spencer is the finest son that a mother and father could have. Granting his wish has granted our wish that he has good things to think about…to look forward to. You’ve helped him see that even in the midst of sadness and pain, there can be happiness and comfort because of caring and compassionate people.”
